Heavy Equipment Mechanic

A growing operation in New Carlisle, IN is in search of several experienced Heavy equipment Mechanics. The ideal mechanic will come from a construction background with a minimum of 3 years experience and should be versed in servicing and repairing small cranes, excavators, bulldozers, material handlers, wheel loaders, heavy duty trucks, semi trucks, forklifts and stationary plant equipment.

The successful mechanic will be task with the following repairs:


  • Performing diesel and non-diesel engine repairs, rebuilding and repairing hydraulic and electrical systems, preventative maintenance, repairing or replacing components on engines and transmissions.
  • Repair and service undercarriage on all equipment. Trouble shoot and repair electronic systems, cooling systems, and emission systems.
  • Diagnose, service and repair tandem drive axles, hydraulic drive propulsion systems, heavy duty multi axle suspensions, perform general PM?s on diesel and non-diesel engines.
  • Disassemble units, repair or replace worn or damage parts, and reassemble units.

Those with previous experience working in a dealership environment servicing Caterpillar, Sennebogen or Liebherr heavy equipment will be given preference. To be considered for this position technicians should have their own tools and a valid driver?s license.

Compensation: ?$25.00 - $30.00/hour. Wage range varies based on previous experience and certification. Benefits package available after probationary period and includes, Health, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D, STD, LTD and 401K.
Shift: ?Day Shift, 8:00am - 5:00pm (Monday to Friday). Should be flexible work over time. OT paid after 40 hours per week.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
