This position's primary function is the operation and monitoring of the painting process to ensure the quality and consistency of coil coating.
The Prime Coater / Finish Coater will be accountable for complying with all applicable company standards and government regulations.
Success will be defined by the employee's ability to efficiently and reliably make adjustments to paints, solvents, or painting equipment to insure correct film thickness and pattern.

00 AM - 4:
00 PM) EDCOAT utilizes four crews on a 2-2-3 to allow for 24/7 operations.
A/B (Days) 4am-4pm EST C/D (Nights) 4pm-4am EST The schedule follows a 14-day repetitive cycle with employees working 12-hour shifts as follows:
2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
WHERE IS NEW CARLISLE, IN? 21 min from South Bend 26 min from Mishawaka 37 min from Elkhart 23 min from La Porte Essential Duties Preparing paint totes or drums in advance to ensure sufficient paint to run the line.
Setting up and operating the Dried-In-Place coater, prime coater, and/or finish coater as directed by the Paint Line Supervisor.
Verifying correct paint (color, lot, viscosity, and vendor) is in the pans, agitating, is ready to be agitated, and/or is warming up for current and upcoming runs.
Monitoring coating machine gauges and operations to detect defects or deviations from customer or product standards and to make adjustments as necessary.
Changing pick-up and applicator rollers as needed.
Performing periodic inventory of paints, solvents, and paint supplies.
Documenting paint usage accurately during the coating process.
Qualifications 1-3 years of previous manufacturing experience Previous coating experience Preferred:
forklift and/or overhead crane experience Physical Demands The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
The ability to lift (from floor to waist level), push, and pull 50 pounds from floor.
The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time on concrete surfaces with regular periods of stooping, bending, or sitting.
