Summary:
SiFab(TM) Production Operator works with production and auxiliary equipment in the manufacture of battery anode technology using proprietary fiber.
Ensure desired product quality and quantity, to maintain productivity standards and to ensure safe operation.
Incumbent will develop and foster a culture of ownership, accountability and employee involvement.
Drive excellent behaviors in the areas of operational safety, and product quality to achieve World Class performance.
Through the efforts of the team, the SiFab Production Operator will have working knowledge of, and effectively performs, all start up, shutdown and emergency shutdown procedures when necessary.
Overtime is available.
This operation is a 24/7 facility with 12 hours shift rotations.
4 shifts available.
Responsibilities - the incumbent will perform the duties whilst 'living' the Alkegen Values.
Make all necessary adjustments on the equipment to ensure product quality and desired weigh Assist with downtime reports Operate automated raw material handling product including Silicon and Magnesium Maintain safe procedures of operation and observes existing fire and safety rules Monitor machinery to ensure they are running smoothly through the operation Safely drive a forklift to move material and finished goods All other duties as assigned Drive Safety Key contributor to departmental safety strategy in alignment with the Site Safety Strategy Own excellence in safety culture and systems.
Safety as our #1 focus Support other employees in removing barriers to drive safety improvements Participate in Safety Gemba (Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma) verifying safe behaviors, correcting physical hazards and validating adherence to policies KPI's Drive Quality Collaborate with Quality Engineer to execute a quality improvement initiatives Address necessary short and long term improvements to reduce customer complaints Key contributor to departmental Quality Control Plan using leading indicators such as Process Capability to ensure product quality Own conformance standards to customer specifications and to maintain ISO certification Assist in the problem solving methodology to reduce variability in manufacturing processes and minimize process scrap KPI's Customer Complaints Cost of Quality CPK First Pass Quality (Right First Time) Qualifications Maintain clean, safe, orderly work area Product monitoring Read and interpret work instructions High school diploma or equivalent Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and producing quality product Competencies:

Physical Requirements:
Must perform duties requiring use of small hand tools.
Possible exposure to elements requiring the production of finished goods.
Must be able to perform detailed repetitive movement of hands and arms.
Lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
