Project Engineer Senior at Navistar in New Carlisle, IN
We are seeking a Project Engineer Senior who enjoys working with cross-functional teams and is passionate about improving our products. This position will be part of our Vehicle Performance Validation -Field Test group. This group manages a fleet of vehicles that are driven on customer representative routes to support reliability growth demonstration plans. This role manages specific projects and will be expected to make decisions, without direct supervision, to ensure the test plan and customer needs are met. Issue resolution, timely communications, and the ability to develop strong working relationships across the organization will be required for this position. This position may instruct, coach, and mentor less senior employees and develop best practices for the team. Key responsibilities include:
Being the single point of contact to the project's customers Create a robust field test plan that supports reliability growth demonstrations Estimate field test plan costs from initiation to closure Own the execution of the field test plan along with any updates to the plan Resolve conflicts and set priorities Provide clear direction to any assigned team members to the project Host daily and/or weekly status meetings Prepare and provide daily/weekly/monthly status communications to leadership Perform end of test reviews with executives, engineering, quality, and program team members Basic Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology At least 8 years of experience in product design/development At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities OR Master's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology At least 6 years of experience in product design/development At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities OR PhD in Engineering or Engineering Technology At least 3 years of experience in product design/development At least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
